AIRMEC COMPANY POLICY / WARRANTY

ORDERING:
Orders received, Monday - Friday, by 2:00pm PST on items in-stock will ship that same day.

SPECIAL ORDER:
A Special Order is any product that is not of our regular inventory mix. Special Orders are ONLY accepted with a 40% deposit.
CANCELLATIONS will be accepted, without penalty, if the product is NOT in shipment to us from the manufacturer. All restocking and shipping costs, charged to Airmec by the manufacturer, will be deducted from the deposit and the balance returned to the customer.

PAYMENT:
Payment for products will be in U.S. currency, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards.
Pre-payment by Check will cause a ship hold, for 10 workdays, to allow the check to clear. International orders must be prepaid in U.S. Funds. Sorry, NO COD's.

SHIPPING:
UPS GROUND service unless otherwise specified by the purchaser.

DAMAGED IN FREIGHT:
All claims for damaged in freight merchandise must be made to the respective carrier.

RETURNS:
Requests to return undamaged merchandise, for credit or refund, must be within 10 days of the original ship date and be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA) issued by Airmec.
Requests must be in writing, by email or fax: Phone requests are not accepted. All Returns must be shipped, FREIGHT PREPAID, to Airmec within 5 days of the RMA Returns must be in original packaging, unused, in saleable condition and returned with the original invoice and are subject a 20% restocking charge. Returned merchandise will be inspected and a report emailed/mailed to purchaser Returned merchandise not accepted for credit will, upon customers request, be returned freight collect or be scraped within 30 days of the date of notification. All refunds are to the original purchaser by Airmec's company check. Refunds due to Airmec's error are not subject to a restocking charge and will be to the original purchaser only. Customers with open accounts will be issued a credit to their account.

WARRANTY:
Our sole obligation, under this warranty, shall be to repair or replace any defective product that is returned to us. Warranty requests must have a RMA issued by Airmec prior to return. Damage caused by installation, abuse or use not intended for the product will void the warranty. For parts NOT found defective, a notice of inspection/findings will be sent to purchaser and the return of the part will be at the purchaser's expense. Airmec does will not accept or pay any labor charges associated with the replacement of parts under warranty. Warranty parts must be returned, to Airmec, freight pre-paid. Airmec will return ship warranty parts via UPS-ground freight pre-paid. Airmec does not authorize any person, representative, company or organization other than Airmec's management to assume for it any other liability in connection with the sale, use or shipment of our product. Airmec shall be, in no event, liable for damages beyond the price paid by the customer for such defective product and shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages whatsoever.

OUR WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO:
Any product or part, which has been subjected to misuse, negligence or accident. Airmec shall not be responsible for any special or consequential damages and the warranty as set forth is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied. Airmec makes no warranty of merchantability in respect to any products for any particular purpose other than that stated in our catalogue and by the manufacturer.

PARTS WARRANTY:
A/C parts, new and remanufactured, other than electrical components and compressors, are warranted for a period of 13 months form the date of sale and to the original purchaser. Parts returned, as warranty, must be shipped freight pre-paid and with the original sales receipt.

ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WARRANTY:
There is NO warranty on electrical components. Returns accepted only if the component was incorrect due to Airmec's error. Returns must have a RMA, the original sales receipt, be unused, be in the original packaging and in saleable condition.

EQUIPMENT WARRANTY:
Warranty of equipment is by the equipment manufacturer. Airmec neither extends nor assumes any additional warranty beyond that of the manufacturer.

A/C UNIT WARRANTY:
Warranty of air conditioning units is by the manufacturer. Airmec, neither extends nor assumes any additional warranty beyond that of the manufacturer.

COMPRESSOR WARRANTY:
New and Remanufactured Compressors
Airmec warrants, to the original purchaser, that all NEW and REMANUFACTURED compressors to be free of defects for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles from date of original purchase. Only Airmec, at its own facility, shall determine valid warranty. Compressor warranty does not extend to other system components.

COMPRESSOR WARRANTY VOID IF:

  1. Compressors not installed in accordance with instructions and/or methods as set forth in service manuals generally accepted by the trade.
  2. System NOT flushed, with an approved solvent, prior to installation.
  3. Failure to replace the drier/accumulator and orifice tube when the compressor was installed.
  4. Clogged Orifice Tube, Expansion Valve, malfunctioning relays or pressure switches.
  5. Use of any refrigerant other than R12 or R134a with their compatible lubricants.
  6. Evidence that incorrect or incompatible chemicals have been used
  7. No serial number or ID on unit, which corresponds to our records.
  8. Bent or burned clutch on a functional compressor.
  9. Compressor or clutch assembly damaged, altered, disassembled or wires cut.

CORE POLICY:
A core deposit will be charged with the sale of some remanufactured compressors.
Core refunds will be made upon the return and our inspection of the core. Customer will be notified, within 5 working days, of our inspection findings. Cores not accepted will, upon customers request and expense, be returned. Cores must be received within 21 days of the original ship date from Airmec.
What Is A Core: A used compressor is not a core unless it can be remanufactured.
A compressor removed from a vehicle will qualify as a core if:

  1. The compressor has not been altered or taken apart.
  2. No damage or cracks to the exterior case, mounting ears, service valves or bosses.
  3. The drive shaft must smoothly rotate three (3) revolutions in both directions.
  4. Some Suction and Discharge pressure must be felt.
  5. The complete clutch assembly to be attached and not bent or burned.
